
Michael W. Deaktor is a partner of the law firm Melby & Anderson LLP. He is admitted to practice law before all Courts in the State of California and the Central District of the U.S. District Court for the State of California. He is further licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona.
Michael W. Deaktor graduated Cum Laude
from Pepperdine University
School of Law and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting
from Arizona State University.
He has served as the following:
President of the Gateway Kiwanis
Club of Glendale; board member of the Verdugo Hills Council, Boy Scouts
of America; board member of Temple Sinai of Glendale, served as Temple
Treasurer for over two years and President of the Brotherhood.
He has also served as a board member and Treasurer of the Glendale Bar Association. Currently he is a member of the Board of Directors and a
past-President of the Community Foundation of
the Verdugos (formerly the Glendale Community Foundation). He
belongs to the Los Angeles County Bar and Glendale Bar Associations,
and has served as a lecturer to the Glendale Bar Association.
Michael W. Deaktor's practice consists
of Probate, Will Contests,
Trust Administration, Trust Litigation, Conservatorships,
Guardianships, Estate Planning, Tax Return
Preparation and all matters related to succession planning.
He has handled numerous probate
proceedings, including one of a
local Glendale real estate developer who died owning 125 parcels of
property in 3 counties. In addition to representing individuals
which make up the bulk of his practice, he has also represented trust
departments at Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, and Flinders Trust
Ltd of Australia.
